Robert E. Bradney is "of counsel" to the firm. Bob graduated from Illinois College in 1947 and from Harvard Law School in 1950. He was employed by the predecessor firm in 1950, became a partner in 1953, and was actively engaged in the practice of law until 1990. Presently, he works closely with the active lawyers in the firm offering assistance with ongoing cases.

Bob was active in the Illinois State Bar Association, chairing a number of committees such as Civil Practice and Procedure, Professional Ethics, and Code of Special Responsibility. He also served many years by appointment of the Illinois Supreme Court on the Character and Fitness Committee. In 2000, Bob was named to the first class of Laureates by the Illinois State Bar Association and was the first recipient of the Illinois State Bar Association's Board of Governors Award. In July of 2007, the Illinois Bar Foundation formally named him a Pillar of the Bar in the Seventh Circuit for his distinguished professional and community activities.
