Can a case be resolved or decided without a judge?

Yes, mediation is a way to resolve or settle a dispute without the case being decided by a judge or an arbtrator. A mediator is a neutral third person who helps the parties and their attorneys arrive at a mutually agreeable settlement. A mediator does not decide the case, but assists in a voluntary settlement.
